Hi,
We are planning an organized way to raise our membership to a level of 10,000 plus members.
I would like to invite motivated - "Fire in the belly" volunteers :) to help us with this effort. If you are one of the willing members please email me at jay@immigrationvoice.org so that I can send you what you need to organize this. Just send a blank email with subject line: "Membership Drive".
Trust me, this is one of the most interesting ways you can help immigration voice. Also the most critical one. And it wont take much time from each of you during the day. Just a few minutes per day of your time can make a huge huge difference.

Hello,
My husband and I submitted I-485 last year (I am not currently working). He already got the green card and mine is still pending. I've got my Advanced Parole in hand. We plan to visit Canada in May . I'd like to ask someone in similar situation regarding applying a temporary resident Canada visa.
On the column 8 of the 5257 Form "Applicant for a temporary resident visa made outside of Canada", "Immigration status of applicant in country where applying", which optioin should I pick? (Permanent Resident?) What date should I put in the box "valid until"?
When mailing the visa application, which supporting document should I send? Only the AP and I-485 receipt?
Anyone with similar experience could give some advice?? Thanks very much!!!

After receiving the flowers on July 10, Emilio Gonzales went to the library to study about Gandhi. He spent 2 whole nights reading the life history of the Mahatma. Finally the Mahatma appeared right before his eyes and made him realize the injustice inflicted by the July VB revision. The rest is history :D

I filed 2 (EB2 Eb3) based on my perm (already approved) and another set of EB2 EB3 based on my old labor (in process)

The above is right. But make sure its applied all over the application. If not the application will be returned to you. Use the above argument in the front and then attach both the I-140s and then mark on the I-140 which is original one and which ones priority date is being used.
Do this for every applicant. Get it done via an attorney who has done this before. Most of them dont even have a clue how to do it.

Yes that is ME..:-) I am still contemplating risking my FP (anytime soon) against my H1B stamping name check that could come up or use AVR and go back for H1B stamping later.
The same appointment could be used by my wife to stamp her H4.
testtesttest has gone to Canada today for PR stamping and he is going to use AVR to reenter US. I might do the same right now.
For me I have a arrest record for driving with suspended license (non payment of ticket) for which I was fingerprinted and photographed though I have police clearance letter from SJPD.
If you are sure that you do not have any records like this then go for stamping of H1 also. It is perfectly OK to get both PR landing and H1B stamping done.

Does frankfurt require transit visa if some one is traveling to India if:
A) While going to india and have H1/H4 valid until 2011, but stamping expired.
B) while coming back to USA if I am planning on coming on Advance Parole ?
How long does the airport visa take ? I traveled through FF in 2005, but I had valid H1 stamp. It is expired since and perhaps wont get stamped before coming back, but use AP.

A note: If you look at the web sites of immigration law firms, some of them can be very deceptive in giving you a feel that the firm is big; none the less it does not mean that big firms give the best advise and results. One advantage of big firms is that they deal with a good volume of cases and have good knowledge inhouse about the trends and what might work/does not work.
