I was on I-485 status on my EB3 application working on EAD. My I140 for Eb2 application got approved today while also requesting porting of priority date.
I believe USCIS would have automatically switched the 485 application to use the new EB2 I-140 instead of old EB3-I140
Now my question I am ready to renew my EAD. I wanted if there will be any problem with my EAD application since it is now transfered to an Eb2 position.
My pririty date is still not current....

I think you should not have any issues filing for EAD, all you need are your pending I-485's receipt notice. good luck!

looks like the no. of applications are less compared to initial projections. the 300,000 include june, july, aug filers including spouses, kids. also seems the number includes 140 applications, ead, ap.. can't believe if it can be that less including all the above mentioned....

Is there a specific stage in the process till which point i have to be in US. If I go back, I will go back to India on a job with the same employer and can come back later with the same employer. Thanks.

There was one case where in appeal his claim for AC-21 was upheld, but his job location was different from LCA location, so he was termed out of status on H1 and since his out of status > 180 days, his I-485 was denied.
This happened in early 2007.

They started premium processing for I140 so that they could stop parallel filing of 140 and 485.
Just wondering if anybody ever complains of I140 being slow? :p

I am even willing to pay $10K per family member to get a GC. Only condition is that they should process it in the same way as other Premium processing. It should not take years in Name check or any other processing after paying this kind of money.

One of my friend who applied for an EAD renewal got it approved. But it went back to USCIS as undeliverable by post office. So he calls USCIS and opens an SR, and the rep says that his PR card application has been approved and will be remailed to him. Which means, they initially sent the GC instead of EAD. Can this happen? His PD is not current, he is from india with a PD of 2004.
Also, after he opened an SR for this, he received a notice from USCIS via postal mail that an SR was created and that they are remailing the PR card and if he does not receive it within 60 days, he needs to call them.
I told him that they are mistaking PR card for an EAD card and its the EAD card thats coming back to him. Anyone here had such an experience?? And defenitely my friend is just not excited too as he knows USCIS does not even know to put the correct card name in the notice.

will appreciate a reply ..I had changed my wifes last name to our married last name (in SSN). her EAD and 485 is in her maiden last name.
will this create an issue when we renew her EAD ? I wanted to renew with our married last name.

Ask your lawyer to inform USCIS about the name change.They will send all supporting documents like marraige certificate, drivers license etc. If you want to change it after getting the green card, you will have to file form I-90 and pay $300 fee.

If your company is financially strong and can prove that they can pay your salary, then you will not have any problem. If your company is small and have only couple of consultants working and the earnings are less then you might have issues.
