I agree - use that space only for countdowns and such. The current usage is a bit silly.

Passkey? So I downloaded the file on that site and opened that Fah6 thing, and it is asking for a passkey. Do I have to do anything else other than that? And how can I have it run automatically?

Btw,
Here's what the noads version looks like
http://www.macrumors.com/downloads/noads.jpg
for those who contributed. I'm not really pushing the contributions at this time... since some of the features of it will be changing with the new forums.
At the basics, you get a no ad front-page and page2.

Anyway, think yourself lucky - the majority of the planet cannot get movies or series content from iTunes.
Find the local representative for the hollywood theaters in your country, write em a note and let them know how happy you are with that.
For that matter if you have local television, write them and let them know that you want their shows on iTunes as well.
Apple isn't the holdout here, it's the greed of the studios. They'll come around once they see how much disney starts making from all of us wanting to try one out.
Just think, if the number of people who buy music, 50% of them buy a movie to check it out only the spike in revenue for something or other. I mean $9.99 is no more than a CD you've been buying...
Personally I'm tempted to buy Toy Story 1&2 because my kid has destroyed two DVDs in the last three years. He loves the movie, and no matter how hard I try to hide the DVDs when they are not in use he'll find them and bring them too you to have you put them in. This alone appeals to me in that I could get all the Pixar favorites, play them to an iTV, and never have to worry about him damaging a semi fragile optical disk.

I haven't seen any definite confimation. From what I've read the iPhone will be released to more countries on that date and the Philippines is one of the countries listed as coming soon.

A semi-epitaph post. I picked up Metal Slug Anthology for the Wii on Friday and have pretty much not stopped playing. Just about as addictive as hell. I mean I've heard of the series and played the GBA game (eww) but I was not expecting it to be this damn fun! It's totally up my street. Co-op, stunning pixel art, silly, gameplay to perhaps even rival classic Mario games.
Anyone else got this? 7 near perfect games. I didn't even mind paying Gamestation's ludicrous 39.99.
When is 3D going to look as good as this?

it doesn't seem like he's going to release his old 4.3 exploit, although I could be wrong. He was waiting for chpwn to provide an iPad 2 bottom dump but I don't know whats going on with that.
What's the reasoning that he won't release the 4.3 exploit? That's disappointing. A lot of people are still on 4.3 on the iPad 2.

Tempted - what boot loader is on it (what firmware was it when it was out of the box)? What week number is on it (4th and 5th digits of the SN).
Week 38. The original firmware was 1.0.2 I think. It was the firmware right before 1.1.1, whichever one that was. And it's currently on 1.1.3.

You should attempt downloading the Combo Update from Apple and see if it installs.

Generally, the times messages were sent, and sometimes the messages themselves, are stored for around two years for legal reasons, after which they're deleted. That's the case with text messages AFAIK, anyway.

...What's the point of a hold button if it isn't physical anyway??
It could be a button such as the locking method on the 1gen shuffle...hold the play/pause button for 5 seconds or so...see the flashing led...locked. (I really don't like that lock method, but it is what it is).
edit=spelling

Using PS in x64 mode can use a lot a RAM, a medium to large file 500MB~1GB can make use of excess of 20GB RAM. then throw in other active apps... I have seen these numbers using the Activity Monitor. I am using 4*8GB OWC sticks

So you have ALAC and AAC in iTunes, and you just want to sync AAC to iPhone, correct?
What you can do is create a new Smart Playlist (hold alt and press the cog in the bottom left), and set it to include songs with a bitrate of >320. You'll also want to enable 'live updating', or whatever it's called. You can then choose to sync your iPhone with only that playlist :)

What's a modem? :)A device used to turn a digital signal into an analog signal for transmission over phone lines, and capable of reversing the process.
Sort of pointless step now that most phone lines are now digital between cities, and only analog between the phone and the nearest phone packet transmission device.

Do you make money with that machine?
I use a 2009 MBP (17") and upgraded the RAM to 6GB (more will follow) and an SSD and it is quite a snappy machine in PS CS5 with 12MP RAW photos. An ix-core MBP will be faster in calculating effects, thus if you do a lot of effects work that take five seconds on your current MBP, they will take two to three seconds on a newer MBP.

Bingo. You win the grand prize.
Seriously though, okay I went into System Preferences:Network:Proxies and turned passive back on, applied it, turned passive back on in Fetch and it is now working.
This still leaves the mystery question of why it worked on some of my accounts (blacklightning) while not working on others (sugarmtnfarm). They are all hosted on the same server.
And why the Post and List commands only on the failing FTPs?
